On my recent I Heart Buttons post the very talented Victoria of Bumble Beans asked if I would like to have the few she has since they weren't getting used. Would you look at these? I was tickled pink to find a cute giraffe hiding in there. The flower buttons have me thinking about Spring and purses. Thank you very much Victoria! I love them all. Speaking of buttons...
I recently found this card of buttons at my favorite antique mall. I'll never use them. I think the card needs to be framed. Why can't they make packaging as clever as this anymore? s
Shark Update (for anyone interested): Actually it's more like I Heart Target! I found my original receipt and box my iron came in so I packed it back up and took it to Target where I purchased it from. They took it back and were sending it back to the company. Since the receipt was past 90 days they gave me a gift card but I was fine with that! I spent the gift card that day...part of my purchase was some terrific jars to store my buttons in. :o)

Those flower buttons are so cool! Cute little giraffe.
I really like that button card too. I wouldn't use them either. Maybe you could come of with a collage of sorts with your other button cards that you got from your mom and put them in a shadow box.
Very cool on the iron story. Hey, I'd take a gift card too - sheesh, if not anything else, you could get a different iron.
Buttons - buttons - I do believe YOU got the buttons...LOL And, they're very fun buttons. I see that giraffe trying to hide in there. LOL
Yeah Target! Glad that whole iron mess is being taken care of.
Hey, I think I may have that same little giraffe button somewhere.
Yeah Target!
And you know I'm a button addict. I think the giraffe is the cutest one in there too.
all's well that ends well I guess for the iron. If only Shark realized what a bad reputation they are going to have now.
CUTE Buttons. Victoria is a sweetheart.. and very generous.
I have never seen that button card before.. I COVET! :-D What a treasure.
Okay, I know I'm slow - I've been told many times I'm slow - and as I get older - "I" realize I'm slow(er)...BUT....it just dawned on me - all this talk about irons and your picture, when commenting on posts, is an IRON !!!!
Okay, my "duh" moment for today is over. LOL
The buttons are devine. What color!
Target is one of the things I miss most since moving to Canada. The closest one is 2.5 hours away. Drat! And I won't even mention the HUGE difference in cost of fabric.
"Button, button, whose got the button?" My mother played this with us to occupy all of us at one time. I am the oldest of 5, and my youngest sibling is 6 years younger - no twins, either!! She'd sit us down on the bottom step of our stairs, and whoever guessed the button got to move up a step. First one to the top was the winner. I can not remember ever actually ending a game, but I sure do recall playing the game. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!!
I love buttons!! Yours are great
oh yes...thanks for the Shark update...have been looking for a new iron...now know where not to look
Those are adorable buttons!
Yea, Target! Glad that worked out for you! Cute buttons!
cute buttons - you are right that would look adorable framed. And a happy ending to your iron woes.
LOVELY buttons! They all look so happy.
What a cute blog you have here. Full of life and color. I just found you via Red Gingham and would love to follow in your journey in life.
Feel free to stop by my little garden at:

I'm mostly a yarn lover, but also am starting sew hear the buzz of my machine again.
I'm so glad you got a refund for your awful iron.
What a gorgeous assortment of buttons. Have you heard of giggle buttons? I saw an ad of theirs -they had some unusual buttons.
Love all the buttons. The giraffe is too cute. Yes you should frame the button card.
How sweet of her to give all thoose lovely buttons. I am sure that you will put them into good use ;-))
Victoria sure did send some awesome buttons! So fun!
I Stephanie, I have used a VERY wonderful iron you might like to try, it is called the Reliable V100 as seen on On "Quilt Out Loud." I understand it is the iron Mark Lapinski likes...it is pricey, but very nice and I am going to pay the money to have one! I do know where you can get one at a good deal...email me!
I'm glad you had a happy ending to the shark story. Adorable buttons, yes the giraffe one is so cute.
I have that little man on the card in my buton book. It says he is from the 30's or 40's. Super cute !
Very cute buttons and I'm glad you didn't get bitten by the Shark this time :)
I agree that the packaging is really cool on your vintage buttons. It probably would cost too much for the companies to do that any more.
i do! I've got the button, well, actually not anymore! You do!
;-) Glad you can use them! yeah! for Target!! no more SHARKS!!!
that button card rocks. Frame it!
The card with the shirt buttons is so darn gorgeous!! I agree - why don't we see items presented so nicely today?
Have fun with your jars!! Blossom and I played with buttons yesterday and is was so much fun. :-)
I'm glad you found your receipt :)
Yay for Target! I love to hear about good customer service!! And those buttons are wonderful...I know you'll put them to good use!
nice buttons...but i am absolutely swooning over the shirt button card! yes, you should frame it...awesome...☺
Wow - you are definitely in button heaven, Stephanie! And way to go with the Shark people! I would have been hoppin' mad and probably not handled that conversation nearly as well as you did! How wonderful that Target gave you a gift certificate - they are tops!! Oh - the Dresden Dot quilt is gorgeous - how great to see your design done by others!
Cheers!
Hi Stephanie! Buttons are so so cool, just love running my fingers thru them..
I love buttons, especially vintage buttons. We would play button button after the Sunday School teacher had enough of us and whatever lesson she was teaching. She was an old sweetheart.
Good for you! I'm so happy that Target took it back for you. The buttons are too dang cute too!
